a few of my favorite things
Shopping is part of my job, but not everything I find ends up in a client’s home. Rather than keep all these beautiful things to myself (on the embarrassing number of tabs I have open at any given time), I’m sharing them with you in the hopes that you too can add some beauty to your home (or your closet).

I need another vase like I need a hole in my head, but they’re really one of my favorite ways to add drama, freshen up a space and address trends without spending a ton.
I love a mirror with personality. These multi-functional design pieces are not only functional and reflect light, but they can also act as a gorgeous piece of art and make a big design statement.
While I don’t believe that you have to spend a ton for good design, I also don’t believe in throwaway furniture. If you buy well-designed pieces, they’ll stand the test of time and you’ll love them as much 10 years from now as you did on day one.
Fashion and interiors go hand in hand as ways we express our personal style. And while I’ve transitioned away from fashion to focus on interiors, it’s still my first love. While I do still shop new, I try to buy most things used and I love browsing TheRealReal, finding unique pieces or things that got away from seasons passed, and saving my top picks.
Think of catchalls and tchotchkes like the jewelry of your home. Once your big pieces are filled in, these pieces add the pizazz and to layer in texture and unexpected pops. I collect all sorts of catchalls and place them all over the house to help corral clutter, while decorative objects add fun design moments throughout a home. While all these are new, I do love exploring vintage markets and thrift shops for unique, one-of-a-kind pieces I can’t find anywhere else.
Let there be light! Lighting is an important part of any home, but some people forget that beyond the standard overhead lighting, there needs to be layers of softer lighting to help add dimension to a room. From floor lamps to sconces to the cutest little table lamps, these lights all add a different dimension to your home’s lighting scheme.
Some people think of stools and side tables as an afterthought or as something functional for placing a drink or reaching up high, but to me they’re the most fun because their small scale and relatively lower price point allows you to take bigger design risks and make bigger statements. When it comes to these pieces, I say go big or go home!
While I like to keep my dinnerware and utensils pretty classic (although trust me, if I had more space I’d have multiple sets for every whim and fancy), I like to mix it up with the accessories like pitchers, serve ware, napkins, tablecloths etc. These are places to have fun with minimal commitment, and to explore different things you may not try otherwise.
