This 1935 Mediterranean revival house hadn’t been renovated since it was built. It was full of original details and character, but its layout wasn’t efficient and it needed updating.

For this renovation, we focused on creating a modern, warm space that reflected the house’s history, but updated it to take it into a new era.

Before

This house has great bones, but the layout left much to be desired for a modern family. There are things we knew we needed to keep - the arches, the courtyard, a few original doors, and some we knew had to go - the multiple doors in the bathroom, the awkward staircase, the fruit in the kitchen.
